Learn From Practitioners, Not Textbooks

Larry Boing brings more than 43 years of nuclear decommissioning experience spanning project management, characterization, waste management, technology application, and international technical assistance. Recently retired from Argonne National Laboratory, he now leads the Nuclear Decommissioning Academy.

During his career at Argonne, Larry developed and directed the Facility Decommissioning Training Course, which graduated more than 2,900 professionals from 69 countries. He has extensive experience supporting the IAEA and major U.S. and international decommissioning programs. The NDA Decom Training Course is the continuation and expansion of that work.

Dustin Miller is a Certified Health Physicist with more than 20 years of experience in nuclear decommissioning and radiological services, including decommissioning planning, radiation protection, and MARSSIM characterization.

His project experience spans reactor, cyclotron, research, and other nuclear facilities, with expertise in final status surveys, environmental monitoring, radiation detection instrumentation, and project management.

Joe Carignan has more than 40 years of nuclear experience spanning Navy nuclear operations, commercial reactor startup and operations, training, and decommissioning.

For more than 24 years he has provided training and consulting in project management, planning, cost estimating, risk management, and environmental health and safety, supporting numerous domestic and international decommissioning projects including work with the IAEA.
